A quick, smooth read that in the end left me saying, "So what?" I found the main character neither particularly interesting nor particularly plausible for his age. The dark, twisted fairy tales angle appealed, but I was disappointed by how untwisted they ended up being; the original Brothers Grimm was darker than this. It still might have made three stars if not for its treatment of women and sex--must -every- woman be either an evil temptress or a pure spirit whose untimely death motivates the hero? Must sex always be a corrupting force? Apparently so.
