I still like this a lot, though I'm somewhat less forgiving of its flaws after having read the sequels--things I once excused as "a little rough, but it's a first novel; it'll get cleared up in later books" now mostly just make me sigh about what could have been.Now to draft book club questions. Book club questions that do not include rants about the latter books.
