I liked this, but not quite as much as book one. That's partly because it retreads a lot of the same emotional and thematic territory, and for a series to keep my interest on the same level for each book, it usually has to continually do something new. Still, I sympathized with the protagonist, felt the chemistry in her relationships, and enjoyed trying to work out the puzzle of the plot. The ending surprised me--in a good way. I'll be interested to see how book three wraps up. I also enjoyed the introduction of various new gods, and hope one or two of them makes a cameo next time.
I was a little bemused at the amount of face-brailling the protagonist did, and skeptical at the level of accuracy she had reading complicated expressions by touch. That's a minor quibble, though.
